The criteria for the selection of participants will be those who demonstrate the technical ability and financial and economic standing necessary to undertake the project. If more than four teams are successful against these criteria, an interview
may be conducted to assess suitability for entry. If an interview approach is adopted, the criteria for selection shall include, but not be limited to: previous relevant experience, qualifications and experience of individual team members,
approach to project and fee for project.
III.2) Participation reserved for a particular profession: No.

IV.1) Type of contest: Restricted.
IV.2) Criteria to be applied in the evaluation of projects: The criteria to be applied in the evaluation of projects will include, but not be limited to: compliance with the Design Brief, affordability, deliverability, operation and maintenance issues and may adopt the Design Quality Indicator (DQI) tool as a basis for the evaluation criteria.

II.1) Project description: The redevelopment of Jubilee Gardens.
III.2) Is the participation reserved for a particular profession (where applicable) ?
The Jubilee Gardens Steering Group invites responses from professional design practices who have joined together to form a 'bidding team' capable of delivering the redevelopment of Jubilee Gardens from a concept to completion. In order for a 'bidding team' to pre-qualify at Stage 1 of the Design Contest and therefore be eligible to be invited to submit design proposals at Stage 2, each team must include professional resources of the following disciplines, as a minimum:
Chartered Landscape Architect.
Civil/Structural Engineering.
Mechanical and Electrical Engineering.
Planning Supervisor.
Professional Arborculturist advice.
Bidding teams are invited to propose the inclusion in their team of any further professional or specialised resources that are considered necessary to deliver the commission. The contracting authority intends to award the contract to a lead designer who will co-ordinate and manage the design team and provide a single point of contact with the authority.
The contracting authority has already directly appointed a project manager and cost consultant.
